David Wheaton Finishes Gentlemen Invitational Doubles 1-2 At Wimbledon

David Wheaton of Tonka Bay, Minn., and partner Todd Martin finished 1-2 in the Gentlemen's Invitational Doubles Draw at Wimbledon. The Gentlemen's Invitational Doubles draw is a round-robin event with the winners of the flight then advancing to elimination play.

Wheaton and Martin won their first-round match defeating Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde of Australia 7-6, 6-3. On Wednesday, the duo played on Center Court, losing to Guy Forget and Cedric Pioline of France 6-3, 6-4. Wheaton and Martin then lost to eventual champions Jacco Eltingh and Paul Haarhuis of The Netherlands 6-4, 6-0 on Saturday.
