Learn More About 2009-10 USTA Northern Tennis On Campus Series

The Tennis on Campus format is used by the sections for the Sectional Campus Championships and by NIRSA at the National Campus Championships. The format is very exciting and has become very popular with college students. For your school league, you may make adjustments to suit your needs. You need a minimum of 4 players (2 men, 2 women) & maximum of 10. The format is a World TeamTennis format consists of men’s and women’s doubles, men’s and women’s singles and one mixed doubles. A match consists of five 6-game no-ad sets with a 9 point set tiebreak (first to 5, win by 1) at 5 games all. Player substitutions are allowed during a set. The total games won determines the winning team.

SECTIONAL AND NATIONAL CAMPUS CHAMPIONSHIPS
USTA Northern organizes an annual sectional tournament for intramural players and sport clubs. The top two finishers advance to the College Team Tennis National Campus Championship held annually by NIRSA, the ITA and the USTA. The sectional campus championship information will be posted at www.northern.usta.com.
The national campus championship information will be posted at www.nirsa.org .
